BOUNDARY #1: CONTENT APPROVAL DEADLINES
At Homemade Social, we have a streamlined content approval process that keeps everything running smoothly. Here’s how it works: every Wednesday, we send all clients fresh content for review, and ask for all edits to be returned within 48 hours on Friday.
This deadline is crucial for preventing delays or lapse in our services for all clients. By having our clients send their edits promptly, we can quickly finalize and schedule all content by Friday, ensuring everything is set for the week ahead. This streamlined process keeps our services running smoothly and on schedule, while also making our lives a whole lot easier!
BOUNDARY #2: REVISION LIMITS
Within our contract, we state that once content is sent to clients for review, clients are permitted ONE round of edits within their allotted 48 hour approval window. This strategy ensures clients provide detailed feedback and helps us avoid endless back-and-forth. Ultimately, we understand that both clients and our team are busy, so setting this boundary helps us save time, increase efficiency, and focus on delivering an exceptional client experience.
BOUNDARY #3: OFFICE HOURS
One of the most vital work-life boundaries we’ve set is our office hours. We’re available Monday through Thursday 9am-5pm and enjoy year-round half-day Fridays from 9am to 12pm. This well-defined schedule helps us maintain a healthy work-life balance, allowing our team to be fully focused during working hours and properly unwind outside of them.
To enhance our efficiency, we’ve also integrated OpenPhone, an all-in-one phone system tailored for teams. With OpenPhone, we’ve established a dedicated business number without the need for two phones. This means we never have to share our personal numbers with clients and only manage one device. 🙏
What’s even better is that our entire team can access the OpenPhone app to view and respond to client messages as needed. If clients contact us after hours, an automated message will let them know when to expect a response, ensuring they’re always informed!
