Similarly, Topicals has used butter to promote their Like Butter moisturizer, leveraging the tagline “For skin so smooth, it’s like butter.”

They have stuck to using native-looking fonts for years now — with posts ranging from notes app screenshots to Reels edited in the IG app. This commitment to staying true to their brand’s organic, relatable vibe has helped them connect deeply with their audience, setting the stage for future success.
Instagram, in particular, has been moving away from overly edited content, and we’ve long championed the benefits of organic-feeling content. Native-looking content, including stories, Reels, and images that feel like they were captured and edited directly within the app, gained momentum throughout 2024, and we expect it to spike in 2025. The key to native-looking content is simple — using in-app editing features, like built-in fonts, which make the content feel genuine, in-the-moment, and unpolished. Alternatively, you can use fonts that mimic the organic look on editing platforms like Canva. This is effective because audiences love feeling like they’re connecting with real, relatable brands and creators, and native-looking content nurtures this connection.
